Thomas Muehlenbeck, EA Level 3 Coach is now a regular instructor here at Wilga Park. Thomas has a fantastic ability to work with all horse/rider combinations, regardless of your level of riding and we have a great group of regulars, both professional and amateurs, who come along and enjoy their lessons with Thomas.
There is always room for a few more, so if you’re interested, please feel free to get in contact with us.
John & Steev enjoyed another successful trip to the UK in May, and some of the highlights were; being at Badminton Horse Trials to see a great group of Australian riders and Sam Griffiths win, Chatsworth Horse Trials and having the opportunity to chat with some of the top event riders and meeting Carl Hester at the Somerford Park Dressage Competition.
In addition there was all the beautiful scenery and people as we travelled the countryside and Steev doing the bread making course at River Cottage HQ in Devon!
On our return, Arthur & Casper came home from being educated to saddle. Caroline King has done an amazing job with both of them and John is now ensuring this good, basic foundation is built on for their future careers.
Duke has been sold to Van Eyk Horses and will be ridden and campaigned by the promising young event rider Molly Chiller. We’re extremely pleased that Duke has gone to such a lovely new home and will be given every opportunity to reach the potential we know he has.
Congratulations to Molly and the Van Eyk Team!
February saw another successful Clinic with Brett Parbery and he’ll be back for more in April this year. If you’d like to know more, please contact us.
Our two 5 year olds, DK & Duke, have started competitions in dressage, (DK) and eventing, (Duke), with pleasing results and we are now offering Duke for sale for someone to take him on into his eventing career. Please see the For Sale page, or contact us for more details
John has made the transition from full time work to full time on the property. This means he now has greater flexibility with his time to fit in more of his passion for instructing others in the art of flat and jump work. If you’re interested in lesson, please contact him.
November will see our first Brett Parbery Clinic and we’re looking forward to a fun filled and informative 3 days.
This clinic is organised by Lilah Nieuwland.
We have recently had the outdoor arena re graded and is now operational! This arena is 40 x 58 and allows jumping, cavalletti and flat work to be utilised all at the same time.
This provides variety to both horse and rider.
September 21 & 22 saw Thomas Muehlenbeck return for more lessons.
It was great to see the improvement of all 3 horses, Klaus, DK and Logan and we’re anticipating more of the same when Thomas returns in October.

These clinics are organised and run by Heide Talbot and only our lessons are held at Wilga Park.
